I am now back home after almost 28 years. It feels good and right where I belong. There is no place like home.
Since my last post, as far as work goes, I am now updated www.blackcreekalpacas.com web site. A little different to take over someone else's design. But I am a smart Kookie! and have been successful adapting from a PC software to a MAC Dreamweaver and hand coding .... eventually it will be a little bit more dynamic!
Been learning alot...there is so much out there. I am curious and doing most of it on my own but would love to be part of a team and grasp a little bit more. Communication and working with a team is the key! I must admit working alone is not easy.
The Tekskil site is being well received and I am pleased about that.
I am in the mist of creating another blog so stay tuned for that. (Maybe I will get some followers on that one hee hee!)

Design for Tekskil
Take a look at the following link:
http://www.leclairimages.com/TEKSKIL/indextek.html
I am rebuilding and designing a web site for Tekskil Industries Inc. They sell teleprompters. It is a custom built site (no Joomla or E-Commerce or CMS) they wanted something distinctive and unique to their product. I am working with a great team at the company and really know what they want and they know their product.
I must admit it was a challenge in the beginning with Joomla and it really did not match their needs. So Dreamweaver, some Flash elements and hand coding is how the site is being built. Biggest challenge also is Internet Explorer - why can's all the browsers be compatible? I am a MAC user.
Right now the site is linked to mine but stay tuned for the up coming Tekskil Industries New Look! It is awesome!
Gotta love multimedia...

Check out my website
Hello
Well things are moving along. I am working on rebuilding a website for a company that sells teleprompters - Tekskil.
All custom made and hand coded and of course a little Dream.
I must say in the beginning I was trying to adapt the existing website that is in Joomla. Turns out that this CMS was not for them.
However, in the meantime check out Leclair Images. Just click on the logo above and let me know what you think.

Check out my other blog on Transferable skills!
Yes well as I stated at the top of this blog this is a new beginning for me. Since the door closed on CBC-Radio-Canada I have graduated from UBC's Multimedia Intensive Studies Program. I have updated and changed my website I don't know a thousand times.. I have applied for work in this domain (still hoping to hear back) keeping my fingers crossed.

So back to transferable skills. I realize that my background is in television production but really everything I have done, learned, experienced is transferable. I am a very capable person. I can literally walk in to a new work environment, get the introductions and start working. I think it is that easy however, I am learning the hard way that it is not. THIS PROCESS HAS BEEN VERY DIFFICULT. Trying to sell and promote yourself and be willing to start at an entry level position (since I am a new career path) has been a challenge. I have spoken with a few head hunters and temp agencies and they all say the same thing...overqualified, why is she applying for such jobs and really she might get bored. NOT...I am willing to start at a beginners levels, I still have a lot to learn and really want to join a team that is willing to let me grow and maybe I can contribute with my extended experience in television production and help them along the way if they are so willing to maybe create some dynamic video spots for their web site.
On that note, still have faith that something will turn up. The internet is the wave of the future and really want to be part of it.

What the heck is MALWARE
Hi
Now this was strange, today I checked my website www.leclairimages.com and all of sudden a warning came out...it suggested I had MALWARE. Anyone know why? My whole site was built in Dreamweaver and Flash! I did use however, the video light box for my videos. I have had the site up and running for a long time. No get it?
Anyways, anybody out there who can suggest how I fix this I would appreciate any info. I will also check with my host.
Have a good day
Regards

O.k. Me again....anyone out there know why things look fabulous on Dreamweaver and then you view it on one browser and it is off and then the next browser it looks good? Or why you can make changes on your CSS and it looks great and then when you test it on a browser it still reflects the old one even though you saved it and refreshed it!!!!
O.K. bad day for me on the computer, I thought I had it nailed but no....I now have three different looking websites... yesterday they were all perfect... go figure!
Goodnight!

Happy New Year
Hi everyone,
Happy New Year, wishing you all the best.
Now for the past few weeks since graduation, been updating, uploading my website. Some days it is fantastic and then...BAM!!! Nothing looks the same or working the same! My fustration level is surmounting. I just do not get it. How is it that when you check it (with Dreamweaver) on Firefox it looks great and everything works ... links etc. and then you check it on Safari and well the the bg image is off to the left...the fonts are not the same etc.... and then when you finally get it working and you check it for the one hundred times... great! And then you look at it on PC and well it works fab... but the fonts are all wrong even though you chose the most common????
AND and yes there is a then... a few hours later, you come to show it to your friends and BAM!!!! It does not look right..everything is off and links do not connect... I JUST DO NOT GET IT!!! HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS of coding and recoding and .... just changing an image totally screwed up the site!
O.K. HAD TO LET IT OUT! Back to work to try and fix it! AGAIN!!!!
Hope your week is going well.
Regards
j.
